Ellie is an editor, writer and storyteller.

Researching and reporting at Catalyst Project — a solutions journalism program — shaped her professional interests. She is now Assistant Managing Editor of the Highway 58 Herald.

She was Associate Editor at Ethos Magazine. Ethos publishes phenomena that amplifies marginalized Pacific Northwest voices. Ellie also has experience with FLUX and Ascend magazines.

Ellie graduated from the University of Oregon with master’s degrees in Journalism (MA) and Law & Conflict studies (MS).

She reported at the Observer & East Oregonian under the Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism, summer 2024. She freelanced with these publications while finishing up her studies.

Away from storytelling, she likes to snowboard and find inspiration in the mountains with her dogs, Brutus and Oakley.
